Ian is well known for his compositions which encompass a variety of musical genres infused with Celtic grace. He is also known for breathing new life into existing music through dynamic arrangements. Ian is available to creating new original musical works and/or do an arrangement of an existing work.

Compositions and arrangement rates vary depending on the length and how complex the project is. Rates are calculated on a per second of finished music, multiplied by the number of lines. A line is normally one instrument ( Vocal, Guitar, Violin, Flute etc.) Lines containing Piano, keyboard or SATB, etc arrangements are counted as 2 lines, Organ is counted as 3 lines. Ian is happy to negotiate rates as needed to help fit your budget.

Composition of original music

€1.25 per second, per line, and royalties mutually agreed upon for publication, performance, and distribution of the finished work. Copyright remains with the composer, unless alternate arrangements are made. Negotiable rate for churches and other non-profits. Commission projects should be initiated at least two months ahead of the deadline for the work.

Arrangement of existing music

€0.75 per second, per line. Arranging projects should be initiated at least two months ahead of the deadline for the work.
